Victoria Gentry, 7, got to be the flower girl in her aunt Monique Buren-Grave's wedding in St. Petersburg recently. The first-grader from Brunswick, Ga., got to paint her nails, wear shimmery lipstick, have her hair done at a beauty parlor for the first time. Her mom said that Saturday was a fairy tale come true for her daughter. Victoria has her own ideas about happy endings.

* * *

I want to be a bride, too, when I grow up. But I want to be a day care teacher more, 'cause I like little kids. I like teaching my little brothers. I have two. I teach them soccer and football and basketball and cheerleading, too. No, I don't teach them cheerleading. But I play school and teach them, too. Elijah, he's 5. And Gunnar is 3. And I make them play school with me. But they don't like it. They always want to be the teacher, too. But I tell them, I'm the teacher. I'm going to be the teacher. Then they come back inside and they won't play.

My teacher, Miss Evitt, she lets us play at real school. I'm in first grade. We play art and word games and stuff. And she's really nice. I like my teacher. I go to Glyndale Elementary (in Brunswick).

But I want to teach day care. I'd change the babies' diapers and things. And I'd like to pick them up. That's fun, too.

And I like to go outside and ride my bike in the street. That's my favorite thing now. My bike is pink. But the streamers broke off 'cause Gunnar kept pulling on them. . . .

Yeah, the wedding was fun. But Halloween is the funnest day of the whole year. I'm going to wear pink paint nail polish this time and my pink princess dress and a sparkly crown or maybe flowers in my hair. Halloween is more better than the wedding 'cause you get to keep all the candy.

I wish I had a real horse. Or when I grew up, at least, I did. I might name it Angel.

And I wish I had black puppies and baby kittens and a white and yellow dog.

And maybe some spaghetti. That's my favorite food. And a Goldilocks and the Three Bears big book, 'cause that's my favorite story.

And I wish I could watch my new video of the grown-up Rugrats -- right now!
