CraftArt winners announced

R. Andrew Maass, director of the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson and former director of the Tampa Museum of Art, selected these winners at CraftArt Saturday:

Awards of Excellence, $1,000 each, to: Sara Eoff, Gainesville, wood; Dale Lewis, Calera, Ala., wood; Peter Streit, Tampa, clay; Eva Walsh, Winter Park, fiber; Jan Wunsch, St. Petersburg, jewelry;

Awards of Distinction, $500 each, to:

Obayana Ajanaku, Avondale Estates, Ga., jewelry; Richard Colavito, Ormond Beach, jewelry; Susan Gott, Tampa, glass; Kristin Holeman, Fort Lauderdale, jewelry; Mary Jackson, Charleston, S.C., fiber;

Katherine Mathisen, Ocoee, clay; Tom McCarthy, St. Petersburg, jewelry; Holly Anne Mitchell, St. Petersburg, jewelry; Celeste Simon, St. Petersburg, mixed media; and Chuck Solberg, St. Paul, Minn., clay.

The show continues today at Plant Park, University of Tampa, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $2.
