QB Quincy Carter, on the frustration of losing for the third time to UF: "One thing my mom always tells me is that life is never as hard as it seems, so I need to go on and be strong, doing the things I need to be doing and being a leader for this football team -- I played baseball, so I know how you can go 0-for-25, so I have some professionalism about being there for my teammates."

Defensive tackle Richard Seymour, second for Georgia with five tackles, on how the game affects the SEC race: "I'm not sure how everything will turn out. I guess they're in the driver's set for the SEC East -- We're not going to hang our heads. We'll just go out and play football. This was one that got away."

Coach Jim Donnan, whose team is eliminated from SEC East contention: "It was definitely a hard-fought game. I thought both teams really laid it on the line. We had our chances. There were some mistakes made by both teams. We capitalized on theirs and they capitalized on ours. I thought the momentum really swung on (Lito Sheppard's) interception. We took forever to tackle him and then they wound up with the touchdown. If we score it's 24-9, but they got the ball and tied it up. That was the biggest play of the game right there."

Carter, who completed 20 of 39 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown but had three interceptions, on putting the game in perspective: "We have to put this loss behind us and bounce back. This game's about making plays. If you don't make plays and the other team does, they win. We have to fight back and roll from here. We gave it all. Our defense did a great job in the first half. The offensive line did a great job. Florida did a great job defensively. We had some tough breaks."

Georgia WR Terrence Edwards on still being in the game in the fourth quarter: "With six minutes to go, we had a chance. We moved the ball. The turnovers broke our back. We completed some short passes, but they had a deep safety and they got some pressure on us."
