© St. Petersburg Times, Value Lodge robbed SundayNEW PORT RICHEY -- A man using a note to demand money robbed the Value Lodge on U.S. 19 Sunday morning, New Port Richey police said. Police said that the man walked into the motel at 6523 U.S. 19 at 8:44 a.m. Sunday and handed the clerk a note demanding money. The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the man left. No weapon was shown during the robbery. Police described the man as being white, 35 to 40 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 165 and 175 pounds. He had a medium build, brown eyes, brown wavy hair and a mustache. Last week, police and sheriff's deputies in Pasco and Hernando counties were comparing notes on a series of robberies on U.S. 19. In those cases, the man who stole money also handed the clerks a note. Thursday, a man with his hand wrapped in a blue jacket, making it appear he had a gun, took money from Eckerd, 2513 U.S. 19, at 8:10 a.m. and two hours later at Radio Shack, 1900 U.S. 19. He is described as a white man in his mid 30s, about 5 feet 10, with brown hair and a cold sore on his upper lip. New Port Richey police were looking for a white man in the Oct. 21 robberies of Clarion Hotel, 5316 U.S. 19, and Clearwater Mattress, 5418 U.S. 19. That man is between 25 and 35 years old and between 5 feet 9 and 6 feet, police said. He has short, dark brown feathered-back hair and a scar on one cheek. His right arm was in a sling. Boy, 12, accused of molesting totHOLIDAY -- A 12-year old boy was arrested on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation Saturday night when a woman found him touching a 2-year old girl's genitals. The boy was arrested at 8:06 p.m. Saturday night at his home when the woman found him sitting next to the 2-year old girl. According to the boy's arrest report, the girl's diapers were around her ankles and the woman saw him touch her genitals. The boy told sheriff's deputies that he did touch the girl. He was taken to the Pasco County Juvenile Detention Center in Land O'Lakes.
