Becky Leavell of Leavell and Associates has purchased Jim King's Allstate Agency. It has merged with Becky Leavell's All-state Agency located at 13627 Linden Drive, Spring Hill. Leavell welcomes all former Jim King Allstate clients to her agency. For more information, call 688-3313.

Jim Wharton Jr., a certified public accountant and 1991 graduate of Springstead High School and the University of Miami in 1996, has been promoted to manager at Arthur Andersen's Miami-based financial group. He is the son of Ruth Wharton of Weeki Wachee and the late James Wharton Sr. of Brooksville.

Register RV Center, a Coachmen Recreational Vehicle dealership in Brooksville, was honored recently by the Coachmen RV Co. The dealership received recognition during the Coachmen's annual Dealer Seminar in Palm Springs, Calif. The award recognizes $2-million worth of Coachmen RVs purchased by the dealership during the past year.

The Parkinson's Support Group will meet from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8, at the Spring Hill Enrichment Center at 1244 Mariner Blvd. in Spring Hill. Guest speakers will include Michael Silberman, pharmacy specialist with Athena Pharmacy; Jon Griffin, a Walgreens prescription information specialist; and Faye Kern, information and referral center coordinator with American Parkinson's Disease Association Inc. Local Edward Jones representatives will host the last of a three-part estate planning broadcast, titled "Building for the Future." The final program, "Adding the Finishing Touches" on Nov. 2 will cover more advanced topics such as charitable giving and life insurance planning.
