Man robs Heritage Bank on State Road 54By Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published October 30, 2000 LAND O'LAKES -- A 30-year-old man wearing sandals walked into the Heritage Bank on State Road 54 Saturday morning and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office spokesman said. Kevin Doll said that deputies were called to the Heritage Bank at 23000 SR 54 in Land O'Lakes at 9:33 a.m. There, witnesses told them that a white man, about 30 years old with brown hair and a goatee, walked in and handed the teller a note demanding money. The man did not pull out a weapon, Doll said, and no one was injured. The man fled the bank in a white compact car and drove east on SR 54, Doll said. He said the man was 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 160 pounds. Doll asked that anyone with information about the robbery call the Sheriff's Office at (800) 854-2862. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
