Receiver Jacquez Green on why the passing game works well against the Vikings: "We get a lot of favorable matchups between myself and Keyshawn (Johnson) and if they double Keyshawn, me and Rediel (Anthony) will be open."

* * *

Defensive end Chidi Ahanotu on what the victory means: "We feel like we had to get back on track and no better team to do it against than the unstoppable Vikings. So this is a big one for us and a big boost to our confidence."

* * *

Linebacker Derrick Brooks on his first career touchdown: "It feels good, but I'm ready for more than one."

* * *

Guard Frank Middleton on keeping the win in perspective: "Every game is different and we showed Minnesota that. But, you can't just say that this game is going to help us. We've just got to keep getting better and better and practice like we lost and keep the same intensity."

* * *

Center Jeff Christy on what was the difference: "I think we were playing together as a team. I think the last four weeks we've been coming out and it seemed like a bunch of individuals out there playing across the board. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody. It was the line, it was everybody, the team."

* * *

Quarterback Shaun King on the play of the offense: "A lot of times, teams in the position that we were in going into today tend to self-destruct. But I thought we showed a lot of character, not only Keyshawn but a couple of the guys came in and we talked about what we liked to do and where we liked the ball and I think it worked out."

* * *

Tight end Dave Moore on the offensive game plan: "We knew going in, saying that if they put eight guys in the box, we wanted to spread them out and run and pass. And if they had seven guys in the box we were going to throw it and put the pressure on our tight ends, the receivers and the running backs. And Shaun had a great day today, he was on, he was hitting everything he needed to hit and it was good to see."

* * *

Johnson on what the win means: "I think it was important for all us. For some reason, I have always been a second-half guy, my numbers always go up in the second half of the season and because we dropped four games in a row it was important for us to get off to a good start because the window of opportunity was starting to close, fast. I think we all took note of that this week during practice."

* * *

Johnson on whether the passing game is the Bucs new identity: "I hope so."

* * *

King on getting the skilled players in open field: "We have a lot of talented guys and the more you can get them the ball in space I think it motivates them to do their part when they are not getting the ball."

* * *

King on the offense: "A lot of times when you start hearing things from outside the organization you could start to wonder and start to doubt. But when we came together, we understood that we were all on the same page looking for the common goal. We took a good step this week. I think (we'll be fine) if we could cut out the two things that hurt us -- penalties and turnovers -- and I think we did that today. If they're going to put eight guys in the box, you have to be able to throw it and when they take that safety out of the box, you have to be able to run and I think we did it today."
