Estate planning

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will hold a free estate planning seminar at noon Nov. 14 at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, 11 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. Musical comedy on tap

The Eckerd College Theatre and Music departments present the musical comedy Smoke on the Mountain at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in Bininger Theatre, 4200 54th Ave. S, St. Petersburg. For oncology care

H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute is now offering a Senior Adult Oncology Program. Patients undergo a comprehensive geriatric assessment that considers other diseases patients may have, medications they take, nutritional habits, social situations, living situations and cognitive functions. This assessment is used to design a treatment program that works best for the patient. For more information on this program and others, call (813) 632-1478.

Jane Alexander to speak

Jane Alexander, actor and arts advocate, will discuss "From Broadway to Hollywood to Washington" at 8 p.m. Nov. 7 in Eckerd College's Raymond James Room, 4200 54th Ave. S, St. Petersburg. Alexander will examine her experiences as Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts from 1993-1997. Admission is free. Call (727) 864-8873.

A great Greyhound tale?

Have you had an experience traveling by Greyhound bus that people just don't believe? Greyhound Lines and the National Council on the Aging are looking for entries in a "Trip to Remember" essay contest for seniors 55 and older. Story topics can include everything from romance blossoming en route to trips to historical sites. Entries must be submitted to the Sunshine Center, 330 Fifth St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 by Nov. 30.

Crafts in Largo

Palms of Largo will hold a craft show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Royal Palms, 200 Lake Ave. NE, Largo. All items are made by Palms of Largo residents and local artists of the Senior Citizens Art and Craft Center. Call (727) 585-8003.
