Keyshawn tops long injury list

TAMPA -- The euphoria of the Bucs' 41-14 win didn't take long to dissipate Monday at One Buc Place.

As players began filing into work and injury reports became more formal, a picture of a team with a number of banged-up players came into focus.

There may be some costly ones.

Receiver Keyshawn Johnson did not practice Monday and has a bone bruise on his right knee. He is listed as questionable.

Defensive tackle Anthony McFarland, who has 34 tackles and two sacks, sustained a slight MCL strain. It is similar to the injury Mike Alstott had late last season when he was sidelined for four weeks. McFarland is doubtful for Sunday's game in Green Bay.

Defensive end Marcus Jones has a left elbow strain and is questionable. Middle linebacker Nate Webster has a right shoulder sprain and also is questionable. Safety Eric Vance has a lower back strain and likely is out.

Johnson has taken a beating through the first six games but still has been productive. Sunday, he had five catches for 62 yards before the injury.

"I'm more hurt than injured," Johnson said. "I'll be all right."

Dungy said Johnson has "great recuperative powers, but it's going to be touch and go whether he'll go."

McFarland's injury seems to be the most serious. He injured his knee early in the game and could miss two to three weeks.

"It's part of the game and when you have an injury you have to overcome it," he said. "A guy fell on it on a tackle I made, but that's pretty much all this is, a slight sprained knee."

Jones attended Monday's light practice, but his left elbow was swollen and showed little mobility.

"I plan on practicing and playing," Jones said. "It feels a little stiff right now because it's after the game, but I don't think it's anything big. I was able to move during the game, I played through it. I guess it's one of those things where the next day it gets a bit stiff, but I'll be fine."

Fourth-year defensive tackle James Cannida will replace McFarland in the lineup. Should Jones not be able to play, Steve White will take his spot.

Running back Warrick Dunn, who missed his second game in four weeks, said his sore big toe feels better, and he could return to practice Wednesday.

"Honestly, this is the best I've felt. I'm almost back to normal," Dunn said. "What did Michael Jordan say, I'm 99.9 percent? ... The hamstring hurts a bit, but (I) needed to rest and didn't want to pull it (more). You can't rush a hamstring; everything I did was precautionary.

"I'm going to get out and run and see how the hamstring feels. I haven't tested it and I'm going to see how it is."

Receiver Jacquez Green sat out Sunday's game with a hip pointer and could be ready by the end of the week. He, too, is questionable for Sunday.
