The Theater and Music departments at Eckerd College will present Smoke on the Mountain at 8 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday in Bininger Theater. This musical comedy by Connie Ray and Alan Bailey is about a family of gospel singers who are performing at a church in North Carolina during the depression. Tickets are $10, $5 for senior citizens. Dr. Sybil Wolin, developmental psychologist, author and director of Project Resilience, speaks on The Struggle to Be Strong: Resilience in Youth at 9 a.m. Thursday in the College of Public Health, Auditorium A. Wolin is the author of Struggle to Be Strong: True Stories by Teens About Overcoming Tough Times. She has run more than 200 workshops around the world and her work has been featured in The New York Times, Psychology Today and on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
