Teachers association rallies for educationBROOKSVILLE -- The Hernando County Classroom Teachers Association will have a rally to support public education from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Friday on the old courthouse steps, 20 N Main St. A social will follow from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Main Street Eatery. There will be free food and door prizes. Carlson meets with interested votersBROOKSVILLE -- The public is invited to meet Carey Carlson, Republican candidate for Hernando County Commission District 3, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Deep South Barbecue on Cortez Boulevard, about 2 miles east of the State Road 50 Truck Route. Women's Club sponsors 'old-fashioned' rallySPRING HILL -- A Democratic "Old-Fashioned Political Rally" will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday in Delta Woods Park on Deltona Boulevard. There will be hot dogs, soda and music. The event is sponsored by the Democratic Women's Club of Hernando County.
