CLASS 5A, REGION 2

WHERE: Port Orange Spruce Creek

SCHEDULE: Deltona (28-3) vs. Haines City (20-11), 2 p.m.; Spruce Creek (26-5) vs. Durant (26-3), 4. Championship, 7.

OUTLOOK: Deltona, Haines City and Spruce Creek are good. Durant is ranked No. 1 in the state after a strong showing at the Berkeley Premier and Tampa Bay Invitational tournaments. The Cougars will face tough competition in 5A, but probably not at this level.

CLASS 4A, REGION 3

WHERE: Plant

SCHEDULE: Lakeland George Jenkins (24-8) vs. Dunedin (11-10), 2 p.m.; Hudson (21-9) vs. Plant (22-5), 4. Championship, 7.

OUTLOOK: George Jenkins is Plant's biggest worry, but with home-court advantage, the Panthers should have the upper hand. Hudson also has the potential to reach the final, but hasn't seen much competition in the regular season.

CLASS 3A, REGION 3

WHERE: Tampa Catholic

SCHEDULE: Wesley Chapel (22-5) vs. Fort Myers Bishop Verot (25-6), 2 p.m.; Tampa Catholic (17-6) vs. Arcadia DeSoto (22-4), 4. Championship, 7.

OUTLOOK: Bishop Verot is by far the dominant team, boasting a No. 1 state ranking and stacked with club players. Tampa Catholic is making a surprise appearance and could upset ninth-ranked DeSoto to advance to the final, but upsetting Bishop Verot could be impossible.

CLASS 2A, REGION 3

WHERE: Winter Park Trinity Prep

SCHEDULE: Lake Highland Prep (26-4) vs. Berkeley Prep (23-7), 2 p.m.; Trinity Prep (27-4) vs. Tampa Prep (24-4), 4. Championship, 7.

OUTLOOK: With top-ranked Berkeley Prep and second-ranked Tampa Prep, this could be Saturday's strongest regional. Neither team is discounting Lake Highland Prep, which has one of the most talented players in the state, but a fourth Bucs-Terps matchup this season is likely.

CLASS A, REGION 3

WHERE: Keswick Christian

SCHEDULE: Bayshore Christian (24-7) vs. Fort Myers Canterbury (26-5), 2 p.m.; Lakeland Christian (21-2) vs. Keswick Christian (26-6), 4. Championship, 7.

OUTLOOK: Canterbury and Keswick Christian hold the most weight in this region, which means Bayshore Christian is underrated. The Faith Warriors have been on an upswing after playing a tough regular-season schedule and hope to face rival Keswick in the final.
