ST. PETERSBURG -- St. Paul Catholic School students will have a special interest in the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Actually, they may be more interested in a show before the game. The students and school will appear on The NFL Today pregame show as a result of winning the Staples "Coach of the Week" contest.

The school won the appearance on the show, a visit from Bucs coach Tony Dungy and $5,000 in school supplies from Staples after a student's name was drawn from a pool of contest entries.

The NFL Today airs at noon on WTSP-Ch. 10. The Bucs-Falcons game will be on WTVT-Ch. 13.

Dungy was chosen as the "Coach of the Week" by a panel of judges in Washington, D.C., after the Bucs' convincing win over the Minnesota Vikings last weekend. St. Paul school was then selected at random from all of the schools in the Tampa Bay area that had submitted entries.

On Thursday, a CBS camera crew taped the 330 students having a pep rally for the Bucs. Some students carried signs that read "Best of Luck Coach Dungy" and "Thank You Staples." Two members of the student council chanted, "The road to Super Bowl XXXV ends here in Tampa" and "Now the Bucs are back to win it all."

Super Bowl XXXV will be Jan. 28 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Dungy will visit the school sometime within the next month, said Principal Louise Cusumano. School officials have not confirmed the date.

Dungy is the ninth of 17 coaches who will be chosen as winners.
