AKRON AT CENTRAL FLORIDA

WHEN/WHERE: 6 p.m.; Citrus Bowl, Orlando.

RECORDS: UA 2-6, UCF 4-4.

COACHES: UA -- Lee Owens (27-47, seventh season). UCF -- Mike Kruczek (24-17, fourth season).

NOTES: Quarterback Ryan Schneider is back after spraining his left knee in last week's 30-27 loss at Utah State. But injuries still are a concern for the Knights. Defensive end Elton Patterson is doubtful with a sprained left knee, and fellow end Rashad Jeanty is questionable with a sprained left ankle. UCF is 0-3 against the Zips, including 35-24 last season. Akron and UCF will be league foes in the Mid-American Conference next season.

SOUTHERN AT FLORIDA A&M

WHEN/WHERE: 4 p.m.; Bragg Memorial Stadium, Tallahassee.

RECORDS: SU 4-3, FAMU 6-2.

COACHES: SU -- Pete Richardson (77-25, ninth season). FAMU -- Billy Joe (69-25, eighth season).

NOTES: This is the 55th meeting between the teams, the longest running nonconference series in historically black college football history. The Rattlers will be looking to hold their No. 29 ranking in the Sports Network Division I-AA poll and No. 5 ranking in the Sheridan Broadcasting poll. FAMU has been waiting since 1925 for this moment: Today, the Rattlers can earn the 500th victory.

HAMPTON AT BETHUNE-COOKMAN

WHEN/WHERE: 12:05 p.m.; Municipal Stadium, Daytona Beach.

RECORDS: HU 4-4, 3-2 MEAC; B-CC 5-2, 4-1.

COACHES: HU -- Joe Taylor (82-30-1, ninth season). B-CC -- Alvin Wyatt (33-18, fifth season).

NOTES: Bethune-Cookman's MEAC title hopes are alive, despite last week's 16-14 loss to North Carolina A&T. A loss today would be devastating. The Wildcats always seem to be led by their defense. The unit is ranked second in the nation in passing defense (giving up 113.5 yards a game) and ranked 10th in total defense (giving up 254.9 yards a contest.)
