Man arrested on child pornography charges
By BILL VARIAN © St. Petersburg Times, published November 4, 2000 HERNANDO -- Citrus County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man they say took photographs of an 8-year-old girl in sexually provocative poses and attempted to have her undress. Tracy Allen Miller, 33, of 2849 Clements Ave., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of directing or promoting sexual performance by a child. He was initially held at the Citrus County Detention Facility on $10,000 bail. The girl told deputies in separate taped interviews that she was staying the night at Miller's home for the first time when the incident happened. Miller's arrest report provided no further information on the identity of the child. She told detectives that Miller asked her to go into his bedroom so that he could take some pictures of her. Once there, she said Miller asked her to lie down and pose provocatively, according to his arrest report. She refused. The child said she was wearing only a nightgown and panties and that Miller asked her to take her gown off. Again she refused. At one point he allegedly pulled her panties up to reveal her buttocks, but she remained clothed the whole time. Miller also is accused of asking the child if she would like to see him without his robe on and if she wanted to look at some magazines with him. Each time she said no, according to the arrest report. She told investigators that Miller then took her to a computer where he showed her pictures of herself and of a girl in a bikini. According to the arrest report, Miller admitted visiting Internet pornography sites. He acknowledged being alone with the girl and showing her pictures of herself by hooking a video camera to his computer and telling her he would take pictures of her using a digital camera later. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • St. Petersburg Times
