FULL SERVICE SALON OPENS: The Salon at the Walk has opened in the Walk shopping center on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Highwoods Preserve Parkway in New Tampa. The salon, next to Circuit City, offers haircuts, highlighting, coloring and waxing. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. For an appointment, call 979-2899.

Carrollwood

FLORIST MOVES INTO LARGER STORE: Carrollwood Florist Inc., owned and operated by Larry and Sheryl Montesano, doubled its space about a month ago by moving into a 3,000-square-foot store at the Village Square East shopping center, 11777 N Dale Mabry Highway, next to Party City. The original store was at 4533 Gunn Highway near Kash n' Karry. Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. For information, call 962-1917.

SOUTH TAMPA BAKERY COMES TO AREA: Kalupa's, a famous South Tampa bakery for 25 years has opened another bakery inside Streets Restaurant, 11777 N Dale Mabry Highway in the Village Square shopping center. It offers a variety of cakes, bagels, danishes, eclairs and other pastry items. Hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. seven days a week. For information, call 964-9299.
