A team from CompUSA will talk about new PCs, cameras, scanners and Windows XP at Tuesday's meeting of the Greater Tampa Bay PC User Group. Margaret McMullen will discuss preparing slide presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint at Wednesday's meeting of the Microcomputer Users Group. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Largo Public Library, 351 East Bay Drive. For information, call (727) 531-5346.

The Tampa Bay Computer Society will have a four-hour class on computer hard drives, covering issues such as how they work, partitioning and maintenance. The class will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 17. Cost is $20 for members and $50 for non-members, though the fee includes a one-year membership. Free computer diagnostic clinics will be held Nov. 13 and Nov. 29. The clinics, sponsored by the Tampa Bay Computer Society, Gulfport Library and the Palm Harbor Library, are for IBM-compatible computers only. Volunteers will check computers, diagnose problems and suggest fixes or possibly do repairs. The clinics start at noon and require registration at www.SynergyPublishing.com.
