Send a message to Afghanistan
Talk show host Glenn Beck, who does two programs on radio station WFLA-AM 970, wants to help kids in America send messages of friendship and peace to children in Afghanistan. Kids are asked to make a card, write a letter or poem or draw a picture and send it to Glenn, who will then turn over the sentiments to the United Nations, which will deliver them. Gravity Games medalist
Wakeboarding champ and central Florida resident Parks Bonifay takes home the silver medal in Sunday's edition of the Gravity Games on WFLA-Ch. 8 at 4 p.m. Parks, 20, lives in Winter Haven. The Gravity Games took place in September in Providence, R.I.

Scooby comes to the stage
The Scooby-Doo cartoon will come to life in the theatrical presentation of Scooby-Doo in Stagefright at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center Wednesday through Sunday. Actors portraying Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred will solve a classic Scooby-style mystery on stage. Tickets are $11, $21 and $26, call (813) 229-7827. Show times are: 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; 11 a.m., 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m., 2 and 5 p.m. Sunday.
