Hernando digestBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published November 7, 2000 Man robbed of cash, jewelry in front yardA man was robbed of $500 and jewelry in his front yard Sunday by a man carrying a shotgun, and then later discovered his home had been burglarized. Garion Pope of 806 Twigg St. just south of Brooksville had gotten out of his car when a man walked up to him, pointed the gun at him and demanded his money. After taking the cash and jewelry, the man then jumped into the back seat of a brown, two-door Cadillac that sped off. Afterward, Pope went into his home to call police and saw that it had been entered through a broken kitchen window. The bedrooms and closets had been ransacked, a sheriff's report said. Driver with revoked license charged againA man who has previously had his driver's license revoked 18 times was arrested Saturday and faces charges of driving on a suspended license, a Hernando County sheriff's report said. Authorities stopped Cheyenne Daniel Marshall, 22, of 12151 Dry Creek Ranch Road north of Weeki Wachee after he ignored a traffic sign, officials said. At first he gave them a fake name, but later told them his real one, a report said. When deputies did a computer check, they found his driving history showed his license was revoked twice for being a habitual traffic violator, 13 times for failure to pay traffic tickets, once for failure to appear in court, and twice for non-judgment suspension, a report said. Marshall was then arrested and taken to the Hernando County Jail; he was released Sunday. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
