Police reportsBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published November 7, 2000 Man faces charge of sex with 16-year-old girlA 46-year-old Spring Hill man faces a sexual battery charge after he forced a 16-year-old to have sex with him, officials say. Albert Digiantomasso of 3544 Mariner Blvd. was arrested Saturday after the girl told authorities that he forced her to have sex with him from when she was in the eighth grade until recently, a Hernando County sheriff's report said. She told investigators that she never said anything before because she was afraid her mother would not believe her, the report said. Digiantomasso remained in the Hernando County Jail on Monday in lieu of $250,000 bail. Officials investigating two suspicious firesAuthorities are investigating two suspicious fires. One flamed up Monday in the sales lot of Baird Mobile Homes in Brooksville. In that case, one home was heavily damaged, and the outer siding of two others melted at the mobile home lot at 19280 Cortez Blvd. Brooksville firefighters received a call about the fire at 1:48 a.m. and were able to contain the damage. The second fire occurred Saturday at a Spring Hill home. Homeowner Sejal Panjabi originally told officials with Spring Hill Fire Rescue that the blaze started from a candle left burning in a bathroom when no one was home at 4418 Crescent Road. But a state fire marshal classified the fire as suspicious after Panjabi found that a case of cigarettes was missing from the home, a sheriff's report said. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
