SPRING HILL -- The Hernando County Veterans Roundtable is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park on Spring Hill Drive. Area veterans and the public are invited. For information, call Hernando County Veterans Services at 754-4033.

Committee hosts annual service

BUSHNELL -- Florida National Cemetery Joint Veterans Committee will host the annual Veterans Day service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Florida National Cemetery, off Interstate 75 (Exit 62). Veterans Day 2000 will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Korean War. The Avenue of Flags will be displayed along the cemetery roadways. The program will include organ music, posting of colors, invocation and benediction, gun salute, songs, a fly-over by the Ye Mystic Aircrew, and massing of colors. Participants will include numerous veterans groups and organizations, as well as area Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Junior ROTC members.
