    Holocaust training

    Educators from Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Remembrance and Education Center in Jerusalem, will offer Holocaust education and training for teachers from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Florida Holocaust Museum, 55 Fifth St. S, St. Petersburg. The event is free and a light dinner will be served. Space is limited. To make a reservation, call (727) 820-0100, ext 244.

    Fundraisers

    The Tarpon Springs High School Show Choir, "Syndicated Sound," is having their first golf scramble to raise funds for travel expenses to the National Show Choir Competition in Branson, Mo. Only top choirs are invited to compete, and "Syndicated Sound" is ranked seventh in the nation among show choirs. The 18-hole scramble will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club, 11500 Old Tampa Bay Drive (off State Road 52), San Antonio.     The Palm Harbor Kiwanis Club is sponsoring an Adopt-A-Class pancake breakfast at Lake St. George Elementary School. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at 2855 County Road 95, Palm Harbor 34684. Load up on pancakes with butter and syrup, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee. The cost is $7 per family or $4.50 per person. Tickets sold prior to the event are a dollar less. For information, call Carl Heifetz at (727) 945-0061.

    Events at St. Cecelia's

    St Cecelia Catholic School will host an open house for prospective students from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Parents of students currently enrolled are also invited to attend. Guests will have the opportunity to observe classes.

    The school will also be holding its annual invention convention, featuring creations from third- and fifth-grade students from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 15. St. Cecelia's is located at 400 S. Hillcrest Ave., Clearwater. For more information on both events, please call (727) 461-1200.
