The 4:45 p.m. crash also left two brothers, Brian and Jason Lipinski, with minor injuries. The brothers, students at Land O'Lakes High School, were hit trying to turn their black Mitsubishi 3000GT left on Weeks from Collier. A tan Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra, which several witnesses estimated was traveling well above the 45 mph speed limit on Collier, slammed into the teens' car. The woman driving the Oldsmobile, who witnesses said wasn't wearing a seat belt, was rushed by helicopter to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Her condition wasn't immediately available, but paramedics said she suffered serious internal bleeding. The Lipinskis were taken by ambulance to University Community Hospital in Tampa. The accident clogged Collier Parkway, one of Land O'Lakes' busiest roads, at the peak of rush hour. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
