Police reportBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published November 7, 2000 Man says large dogs attacked, killed his pregnant goatDADE CITY -- A Dade City man told Pasco County sheriff's deputies that he awoke Sunday morning to find his pregnant, black and white goat dead and partially eaten by dogs. Bart Colom, 64, of Florrie Mae Lane told deputies that the four goats he owns were fine when he went to bed around 11 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday morning, he checked on them around 11:30 a.m. and found the pregnant female dead. He said he saw four large dogs running loose in the neighborhood gathered near the carcass, a report stated. Deputies advised Colom to bury the goat to avoid further problems with the dogs and to contact animal control Monday morning. Deputies also noticed four dogs running in an open field near Colom's house, but they were unable to find the owner. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
