Ready to vote?By Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published November 7, 2000 To vote in today's election, you must already be registered. The deadline for registering to vote was Oct. 10. Your registration card tells you the location of your polling place. If you can't find your card, you can get your polling place from the elections supervisor's office, and in some cases online. You must vote in the precinct where you live. Under a new state law, you must have photo identification, such as a driver's license. The pollworker must also verify your signature so you should bring your registration card or another form of ID with your signature. For more information, call the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections, or visit their Web site: (727) 464-3551 or http://www.co.pinellas.fl.us/soe/. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • St. Petersburg Times
