Physical therapist opens new practice

Laurie Joi Scheer has opened a physical therapy practice at 6740 Crosswinds Drive N, Suite A, St. Petersburg. Scheer, who holds a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Delaware, is also certified in reiki, a healing technique founded in Tibet. Before opening in Pinellas County, Scheer practiced physical therapy at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers.

Kerry Crawford has been named account coordinator for Devine Communications in St. Petersburg. Crawford previously was a research associate for Northern Light Technology in Cambridge, Mass.

FKQ Advertising and Marketing, 15351 Roosevelt Blvd., has promoted Cindie Drummond to senior art director. Before the promotion, Drummond was assistant art director. Melissa Duckro has been promoted to account executive. Duckro has been with FKQ since 1998 as an executive assistant.

Kozeta Nikaj has opened Kristina's Cafe Restaurant at 3590 34th St. N, St. Petersburg. The 24-hour restaurant specializes in omeletes, steak and chicken caesars and hoagies. Nikaj previously was a waitress at Ronnie's Family Restaurant in Largo.

Zak and Amy Ghuneim have relocated their business, Far Out Kitchen Inc., from 4416 66th St. N to 940 58th St. N, inside the Tyrone Gardens Plaza in St. Petersburg. The 6-year-old retail business specializes in kitchen and gift items.
