Police seeking man who committed sex act

DADE CITY -- Dade City police officers Tuesday were seeking a man suspected of sexually stimulating himself in a public park early Tuesday morning.

Police received a call about 12:45 a.m. from someone reporting the incident at Price Park, 37635 Meridian Ave.

The caller told police that the man stopped what he was doing and fled east on Meridian Avenue after he saw the witness stop to use a phone.

The caller described the man as black, wearing a baseball cap, a white tank top, gray pants, blue shoes and riding a red bike.

He was described as in his mid-30s, with short, black hair, approximately 5 feet 8 inches and weighing about 150 pounds. Police had not found the suspect late Tuesday, but had added extra patrols in the area, said Dade City police Chief Phillip Thompson.
