An artful holiday walk
Tony Weldon, a Tampa artist of Cherokee descent, explores his American Indian heritage through his art in works such as Learning to Fly. While his original pencil drawing is in the Smithsonian's permanent collection, prints are available at Red Cloud Indian Art Gallery, 208 Beach Drive NE. Weldon will be present for the second night of the Downtown Art Association's annual two-night holiday walk, 5:30-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday in downtown St. Petersburg.
The event, free and open to the public, closes with an artistic jam session of bands at T.W. Curtis Gallery, 331 16th St. N.
