CHICKEN DINNER: Citrus High School will hold a chicken dinner from 5 to 7 p.m., Nov. 10 in the cafeteria before the final game vs. River Ridge. Tickets are $5 and include chicken, salad, bread, dessert and a drink. Tickets are available at the door or from any band member. For information, call 726-1418.
LHS PROJECT GRADUATION MEETING: Lecanto High School's Project Graduation 2001 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the library. All parents and guardians of graduating seniors are encouraged to attend. Donations are being accepted and can be mailed to LHS Project Graduation, P.O. Box 481, Lecanto, FL 34461. All funds will be used for prizes and awards or for the purchase of items and services needed for the celebration.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Homosassa Elementary School is serving a pancake Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in the cafeteria. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for students. Tickets are available at the school and will be sold at the door.
GOLF TOURNAMENT: The Women of Sugarmill Woods have set Jan. 8 as the date for their annual "Schoolastic" Classic Golf Tournament to raise funds for scholarships. The 18-hole ladies-only event will begin at 7 a.m. with coffee and snacks. The shotgun start is 9 a.m. The entrance fee is $45, which includes a luncheon. There will be a Chinese auction, diner's raffle, Split-the-Pot and a special auction. There are hole sponsorships available for $100 each. Sponsors will receive a certificate for four rounds of golf, including cart, good until Oct. 31, 2001. For information about becoming a sponsor, call 382-2869. NEW MORNING HOURS FOR GYM: There are new morning hours for the gym facility at Withlacoochee Technical Institute. It is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Membership is $20. The gym is located in Room 707. The gym offers one-on-one instruction with an experienced fitness instructor. The program consists of weights, machines, and cardiovascular equipment. FALL 2000 FAMILY WORKSHOP: Family Network on Disabilities, Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System and the Exceptional Student Department of Citrus County Schools are sponsoring the Fall 2000 Family Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Elementary School. Workshops for parents of exceptional students will include information on helping children at home, preparing for children's futures, strategies for behavior and discipline and improving communication between parents and children. TIMES SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE: The St.Petersburg Times is offering scholarships to high school seniors in public or private schools in Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. Four students will be selected to receive up to $15,000 annually for four years to attend any nationally accredited college or university. They will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, community service and evidence of having overcome significant hurdles in life to succeed. Applications are available in the Times' Inverness and Crystal River offices and from high school guidance counselors. Applications must be received by R&R Education Consultants, the firm administering the program, by Monday.
