Cheap thrills: Yanny's

By Times staff

Forget about the other Yanni. Yannis Piotoyannakis, above, calls himself the French Toast King and his toast is so big and fluffy, it just may be the best in the world.

He reigns over other breakfast dominions -- waffles, pancakes and eggs 'n' whatever -- as well, but where you'll bow down and swear fealty is for his homemade yogurt.

If you have to ask what flavor, then you don't know real yogurt. This isn't ice cream or even the fruited stuff in plastic; it's milk soured and cultured the way it has been for centuries. The result is the richest, creamiest product ever to be called a health food; it tastes of life itself. If you must sweeten it, add honey. 1258 S Highland Ave., Clearwater; (727) 446-5797.
