Mutton but fun

The Cartoon Network comes up with some wacky ideas. Its newest show is a half-hour series about a sheep that's forced to run away from the farm and hide out in the big city because a top secret military organization is after him -- no joke. Sheep in the Big City debuts Friday at 9:30 p.m.

Spankin' new music

MTV's interactive/hip hop/R&B show Direct Effect is participating in the music channel's "Spankin' New Music Week" with guest appearances by Outkast on today's show, B.G. and Lil' Wayne on Tuesday, the Wu Tang Clan on Wednesday, Master P on Thursday and Jay-Z on Friday. Direct Effect airs weekdays at 5 p.m. on MTV.

The Children's Book Council has been observing this special week for the past 80 years. This year's theme, Fuel Your Mind, "illustrates the nourishment that kids get from a healthy, balanced diet of reading," the council states.

Don't eat everything in the box

Burger King begins its Rugrats In Paris -- The Movie promotion today with the launch of eight toys inside Big Kids' and Kids' Meals. The toys can be played with individually or connected to create Reptarland. Rugrats watches, which feature a "conversation" between two characters, are available for $1.99 with the purchase of a Value Meal.

Love is in the air

One of the 98 Degrees guys recently said "I do." According to Us Weekly magazine, Drew Lachey, 24, married Lea Dellecave, 24, last month in Cincinnati. The couple have known each other since the fifth grade. Lea is a choreographer/dancer for the quartet.

He's not married yet, but MTV's Carson Daly, 27, is planning on it. He and girlfriend Tara Reid, 24, are officially engaged. The couple met in March on the set of an MTV show in Mexico.
