FAVORITE PICTURES FROM THE PAST FEW DAYS:

Wayne Newton, meet Blue Man Group. (If this page were in color, you would see that the heads and hands of the three men at the right are a light shade of blue.)

Blue Man Group -- performance artists who have a long-running off-Broadway show and appears in IBM commercials doing things with paint -- demonstrates its high performance level by not doing a similar recoil upon meeting Newton (who is not painted blue but, as usual, loaded up on the hair gel).

'N Sync showing what it can do when it remembers its choreography. And 'N Sync showing what happens when it forgets. Such were the extremes at its free Sunday concert at Miami Beach. Or maybe the boys are working toward a career change -- to performance artists. Why not? Lance and Joey's movie is tanking. There is no buzz on Chris' clothing line. Justin's probably getting tired of being in Britney's shadow. And JC is . . . what is JC doing?

Chris hides his disappointment that his 'N Sync bobble head doll looks nothing like him. Except for the bobbly head.

Anticipation for Friday's premiere of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone reaches a fever pitch as screaming girls plead for tickets behind one theater's retaining fence. (Or they could be watching the 'N Sync concert.)
