St. Petersburg USF and the National Audubon Society will co-host a forum on World Population and Environmental Change at 7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Hall, Room 130. The forum is being held in conjunction with the release of the United Nations Population Fund's "State of the World Population 2001" report. Speakers will include Ann Erb-Leoncavallo, writer of the report; Mary Matthews, assistant professor of environmental sciences and policy at USF; Corry Westbrook, grassroots coordinator of the National Audubon Society; and Bruce Ackerman, president of the St. Petersburg Audubon Society. They will talk about how population, pollution and poverty issues are linked and impact the environment. They also will provide information on actions that can be taken for sustainable and equitable development throughout the world. Call 553-1070 for information.
