Class notesBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published November 16, 2000 PGE ART AND MUSIC PROGRAM: The Pleasant Grove Elementary School PTA will hold a general meeting at 6:30 Nov. 28. The short business meeting will precede a chorus performance. Student art also will be on display. A craft activity will be provided for children so parents can listen to the music and view the art. Refreshments will be served. For information, call 860-0327. CRHS PTSA TO MEET: The Crystal River High School PTSA will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria. CRHS Resource Officer Ron Frink and Andy Hindman, the state director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, will speak on drugs and alcohol. Entertainment will be provided by the CRHS Chorus, directed by Rebecca Huffman. Refreshments will be provided by the CRHS Food Service. WORLDLY WEEK: This week is Geography Awareness Week. Do you know where the city of Manaus is? BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Homosassa Elementary School is serving a pancake Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in the cafeteria. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for students. Tickets are available at the school and will be sold at the door. CSMS ENHANCEMENT COUNCIL MEETING: Citrus Springs Middle School will hold a School Advisory Enhancement Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the media center. GOLF TOURNAMENT: The Women of Sugarmill Woods have set Jan. 8 as the date for its annual "Schoolastic" Classic Golf Tournament to raise funds for scholarships. The 18-hole ladies-only event will begin at 7 a.m. with coffee and snacks. The shotgun start is at 9 a.m. The entrance fee is $45 and includes a luncheon. There will be a Chinese auction, diner's raffle, Split-the-Pot and a special auction. Hole sponsorships are available for $100 each. Sponsors will receive a certificate for four rounds of golf, including cart, good until Oct. 31, 2001. For information about becoming a sponsor, call 382-2869.
