Santa to visit "Homosassa Springs into Christmas'

HOMOSASSA SPRINGS -- The fourth-annual "Homosassa Springs into Christmas" tree lighting and carol singing ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park Visitors Center on U.S. 19. Music will be provided by Homosassa Elementary chorus. Other attractions include the Citrus County Cruisers antique cars and a visit from Santa.

Home decorating contest entries being accepted

INVERNESS -- The 13th annual holiday home decorating contest, sponsored by the Citrus County Parks and Recreation office, is accepting registrations until Dec. 1. The judging of outdoor exhibits takes place Dec. 11-15. There will be an east and a west division, and a $3 entry fee is required. County Road 491 is the dividing line. Entry forms are available at the County Parks and Recreation Office on W Fort Island Trail, all chamber of commerce offices and all county libraries. Call 795-2202.

Musical tribute to Liberace scheduled for Nov. 25

HOMOSASSA SPRINGS -- The Rotary Club of Homosassa presents Martin Preston in a musical tribute to Liberace at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at the Roger Weaver Educational Complex, County Road 491 S, Lecanto. Tickets are $12 in advance, available at area Regions and SunTrust banks, or the Homosassa Springs Chamber of Commerce. Tickets at the door are $14. All proceeds benefit local projects through the Carlos Nessi Memorial Foundation.
