TOTALLY SHOCKING SPLIT OF THE MONTH: Big Brother 2 housemates Krista Stegall and Mike "Boogie" Malin, who got engaged live on September's finale, have broken up, Stegall tells Entertainment Weekly.

TOTALLY SHOCKING SPLIT OF THE MONTH: Big Brother 2 housemates Krista Stegall and Mike "Boogie" Malin, who got engaged live on September's finale, have broken up, Stegall tells Entertainment Weekly.

She says it was her idea.

"Mike's a great guy, but it's not the same as it was in the house," Stegall told the magazine.

She also said she was mad that Boogie, the name by which we all came to know and love him, decided at the last minute to not compete with her in another CBS reality show, Amazing Race 2.

Boogie says Stegall's real problem is her addiction to pseudofame and reality TV shows -- no, wait, it's with his new film and TV writing partnership with housemate and BB2 $500,000 grand prize winner Will Kirby.

SPEAKING OF HAPPY COUPLES: That German musical about the life and death of Princess Diana has opened, and among the scenes is one in which the bulimic Diana is about to eat a plate of fruit when Prince Charles says: "Go on, eat it. It'll only come out again. What a waste." She throws the plate against a pillar.

"I thought it would be a tribute to Diana, but it definitely wasn't," audience member Sandra Brettar of Saarbruecken, Germany, told Reuters of the show. "She comes off badly in it."

Amazingly enough, the show, called Lady Diana -- A Smile Enchants the World, doesn't offer much insight into Diana's life. Brettar says it consists of scenes "known to everyone who ever spent time perusing the gossip magazines in the waiting room of their dentist."

THAT'S THEIR OPINION: This year's "Sexiest Man Alive," at least according to People, is Pierce Brosnan.

He's the 15th person to receive the magazine's title, following in the sexiness wake of, among others, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Sean Connery.

Also included on this year's list are cellist Yo-Yo Ma; Dr. Phil McGraw, the self-help guru of Oprah Winfrey's talk show; Ben Stiller; and Mexican president Vicente Fox (he should be the first runner-up).

IF THEY'D JUST GIVEN HIM A CAMEO . . .: The only surviving member of the Rat Pack won't be trotted out for touchy-feely interviews by the remakers of Ocean's 11. "All they are doing . . . is a cheap impersonation of the original Rat Pack," says Joey Bishop, 83, in comments relayed by Glamour.co.uk. "Give me a break."

SHOWER 'N BAKE: One way to recharge your body during the holiday season, according to Glamour: Exfoliate in the shower with equal parts water and coarse brown sugar. The grains gently exfoliate while smelling like cookies, the magazine says.
