Jim Carrey is the mean one, Mr. Grinch.
Summary: How the Grinch Stole Christmas is based on the classic Dr. Seuss story. This movie stays pretty true to the book and original animated film, but it definitely elaborates on some things. The basic story line of the grinchy Grinch with a heart that's too small is there, but it goes into detail about things such as how the Grinch came to hate Christmas in the first place. It also explains how everyone, except one little Who, hated and feared the Grinch. Cindy-Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) saw something in him that no one else could see. She was determined to make all of the other Whos, and the Grinch himself, open their eyes.

My view/expectations: Wow! What a great movie! I'm convinced this is going to become an instant holiday classic. Jim Carrey did an amazing job as the Grinch. I can't imagine any other actor perfecting the part the way he did.

All of the actors were convincing in their roles, and the costuming, makeup and sets were astounding! The Grinch costume was so authentic and masked Jim Carrey's appearance so well it made me forget he was actually underneath it all. This motion picture was jaw-dropping to me!

I knew this was going to be a good movie, but it turned out to be more spectacular than I imagined!

Favorite part: I loved the whole thing, but I was especially impressed by the makeup and costumes. Every little thing on the set was so detailed, it was like looking at a page of the book. I felt like I was really in Whoville.

Least favorite part: Yeah, like I really had one for this movie!

Recommendations: You absolutely, no matter how busy you are, must go see this movie!

Grade: A+
