Thanksgiving Closings

The following is a list of holiday closings and schedule changes for south Pinellas County for Thanksgiving.

Government

Federal offices: Closed Thursday.

City, county and state offices: Closed Thursday and Friday. South Pasadena city hall will close at noon Wednesday. Redington Beach town hall will be open Friday until noon. City Hall in the Mall kiosk at Tyrone Square Mall will be closed Thursday only.

Mail: All U.S. post offices are closed Thursday.

Transportation

PSTA: Holiday schedule Thursday.

DART: Holiday schedule Thursday.

Public services

Banks: Closed Thursday.

Courts: Not in session Thursday or Friday.

Schools: Closed Monday-Friday.

Libraries: Indian Rocks Beach Library will be closed Thursday only. All other libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday. St. Pete Beach Library also will be closed Saturday.

Garbage collection in Gulfport, Indian Rocks Beach, Largo, Madeira Beach, St. Petersburg and Treasure Island: Regular Thursday pickup will be on Wednesday, Nov. 21. All other residential collections during the week of Nov. 18 will not be changed.

Other closings: Facilities closed Thursday only include the Bayfront Center, Boyd Hill Nature Park, Coliseum Ballroom, municipal marina offices, North Shore and Walter Fuller Pools, Sanitation Department Brush Sites and RecyclaMats, Sunken Gardens and St. Petersburg Tennis Center. Facilities closed Thursday and Friday include the Business Development Center, Coliseum business offices, Enoch Davis Center, Port of St. Petersburg administrative offices, recreation and adult centers and the Sunshine Center.

For water or sewer emergencies: Call the Public Utilities Department, 893-7261.

For police, fire or medical emergencies: Dial 911.
