Big plans at Bilmar

By Times staff writer

The restaurant, currently inside the lobby, would move to the beachfront Sunset room and become a Sloppy Joe's franchise. With city approval, a three-level deck would be built on the sand between the restaurant and a sidewalk that runs along the beach.

The Grog Shoppe lounge would be converted to conference space. The beach bar closes and becomes a dining area for conference participants.

The Bilmar sign in front of the resort will be replaced. The buildings are to be painted and the rooms renovated.
