Tampa Bay briefsBy Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published November 26, 2000 Deputies search for bank robberSOUTH PASADENA -- Pinellas County sheriff's deputies are looking for the man who robbed the SouthTrust Bank inside the Albertson's supermarket at 1075 S Pasadena Ave. on Saturday. Sheriff's spokesman Cal Dennie said that at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, a man approached the counter and handed the teller a note that had "give me the money" written on it. Dennie said the teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money before he left in a car for which there was no description available. The suspect is described as white, approximately 5 feet 8 and 150 pounds; he looked to be in his early 30s and was wearing a camouflage hat, a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Two-vehicle accident kills one, hurts threeLARGO -- A woman was killed and three other people were injured Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident at the entrance to Brittany Bay Apartments at 1201 Seminole Blvd. At about 3:45 p.m., a black Isuzu pickup was northbound on Seminole Boulevard when a silver Mazda pulled out of the apartment complex in front of the pickup, said Largo police Lt. Carla Boudrot. The pickup hit the Mazda, knocking the Mazda into a telephone pole. An adult female passenger in the Mazda died in the crash. The Mazda's male driver and a young female passenger were flown to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment. The Isuzu pickup's driver was taken to Morton Plant Hospital with injuries that were not thought by authorities to be life-threatening. Largo police are investigating the crash.
