The man received only minor scratches from the incident, but told deputies that he was hit several times with the branch, which broke each time he was struck with it. At 1:30 p.m., the man told deputies he saw a man and a woman on a three-wheeled all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on his property on Tworut Road. He said there was a confrontation when he went to tell them to leave. During the confrontation, the man said, he sprayed the ATV driver with Mace, who then grabbed a rotten tree branch and hit him. He said the woman on the ATV also punched him. The man told deputies that the two then got on the ATV and drove off onto Claysink Road. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
