    Water workout targets new moms, moms-to-be

    BELLEAIR -- A comprehensive water workout program for pregnant mothers and those who delivered babies recently is offered from 11 a.m. to noon Mondays at the Belleview Biltmore Eclips Spa, 25 Belleview Blvd.

    Free guide lists county youth service programs

    ST. PETERSBURG -- A free guide listing more than 70 Pinellas County non-profit agencies is available to young people interested in performing a service learning project for the Bright Futures scholarships.

    The guide gives a description of each agency, contact names and telephone numbers.

    For a free copy or for information on youth volunteer opportunities, call the Volunteer Action Center at 550-4035.

    Free or reduced-cost mammograms offered

    Women 50 or older may be eligible for free or reduced-cost mammograms from the Pinellas County Health Department. Women who might qualify are those without health insurance, those with low incomes or who are on Medicare.

    To make an appointment or for information, call the Health Department at 824-6917 or 824-6900. The facility is at 500 Seventh Ave. S, St. Petersburg.

    Italian-American Club hosts dinner-dances

    CLEARWATER -- The Italian American Club of Greater Clearwater at 200 McMullen-Booth Road presents a pasta dinner and dancing every Tuesday. The club opens at 5 p.m. for dinner, followed by dancing until 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for members and $8 for non-members.

    The club also puts on dinner-dances from 5:30 to 11 p.m. every other Saturday. Tickets must be purchased in advance. For information or to purchase tickets, call 791-8698.

    Residence offers housing for low-income seniors

    DUNEDIN -- Milwaukee Grove House, 753 Scotland St., Dunedin, has a few openings for low-income seniors who can care for themselves but no longer wish to live alone.

    The residence also needs volunteers to read, visit with residents, play cards and do yard work. For information, call 736-6632.

    Volunteers needed to help abused and neglected kids

    CLEARWATER -- Gulf Coast Community Care, a non-profit and non-denominational organization, is seeking volunteers 30 or older to work with abused and neglected children. In its Permanency Support Program, the agency places volunteers with children ages 3-11 who live in state-sanctioned foster homes.
