Free guide lists county youth service programsST. PETERSBURG -- A free guide listing more than 70 Pinellas County non-profit agencies is available to young people interested in performing a service learning project for the Bright Futures scholarships. The guide gives a description of each agency, contact names and telephone numbers. For a free copy or for information on youth volunteer opportunities, call the Volunteer Action Center at 550-4035. Free or reduced-cost mammograms offeredWomen 50 or older may be eligible for free or reduced-cost mammograms from the Pinellas County Health Department. Women who might qualify are those without health insurance, those with low incomes or who are on Medicare. Italian-American Club hosts dinner-dancesCLEARWATER -- The Italian American Club of Greater Clearwater at 200 McMullen-Booth Road presents a pasta dinner and dancing every Tuesday. The club opens at 5 p.m. for dinner, followed by dancing until 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for members and $8 for non-members. Volunteers needed to help abused and neglected kidsCLEARWATER -- Gulf Coast Community Care, a non-profit and non-denominational organization, is seeking volunteers 30 or older to work with abused and neglected children. In its Permanency Support Program, the agency places volunteers with children ages 3-11 who live in state-sanctioned foster homes.
