Defensive tackle Warren Sapp set the Bucs single-season record for sacks by dropping Bills quarterback Rob Johnson twice in the first half. Sapp has 13.5 sacks, surpassing Lee Roy Selmon's team record of 13.

Four players who participated in the 1991 game between the Bucs and the Bills were on the field Sunday: punter Chris Mohr and safety Henry Jones were in their first year with the Bills, while current Buffalo kicker Steve Christie was kicking for the Bucs. Mark Royals was in his first stint as the Bucs punter.

Johnson's second-quarter touchdown pass was the first TD yielded by the Bucs defense in 10 quarters. The defense did not allow touchdowns against Green Bay or Chicago.

Shaun King recorded his fifth rushing touchdown in the second quarter. That ties the team season record set by Steve Young in 1986.

Karl Williams' 73-yard punt return for a touchdown was the first conventional return for a touchdown since Jacquez Green returned a punt 95 yards against Green Bay in September 1998. Ronde Barber returned a deflected punt 23 yards for a touchdown in a November '98 game against Chicago.

Williams' score was the fifth touchdown return of the season for the Bucs (two interception returns, one fumble return, one return of a blocked field goal and one punt return). That ties the team record set in 1981.

Warrick Dunn's 39-yard touchdown run was the Bucs' longest scoring run of the season. It also pushed Dunn past the 100-yard mark. He is the first back to do that against the Bills this season.

Dunn moved passed Mike Alstott (3,293 yards) into second place on the team's all-time rushing list with 3,299 yards.

This is the first time in three years the Bucs have equaled or surpassed 31 points in four games. The Bucs never have done it five times.

The Bucs are 31 of 33 inside the red zone with 21 touchdowns. Last season, Tampa Bay scored touchdowns on 15 of its 45 possessions inside the 20.

Kicker Martin Gramatica made his 14th straight field goal, a 45-yarder in the first quarter. The club record of 16 consecutive field goals is held by Michael Husted (1995-96).

The Bucs are 17-5 (.773) at Raymond James Stadium. They are 4-2 against AFC teams at RJS.

The defense has forced at least one turnover in five consecutive games and in 11 of the past 12.
