Needy families can sign up now for holiday assistance

INVERNESS -- Citrus United Basket is accepting sign-ups through Dec. 14 for families needing assistance for the holidays. This will allow families to receive Christmas gifts for their children and a Christmas dinner. Teenagers who are members of families experiencing difficulties can sign up to receive Christmas gifts during the same time period. If you know of anyone who will need assistance this Christmas or if you could use assistance yourself, call Nola, 344-2242, or visit CUB at 210 N Apopka Ave., Inverness, near the Citrus County Courthouse. Proof of Citrus County residence required. Pick up dates for the gifts and dinner are Dec. 18, 19 and 20.
