Authorities received a phone call at 5:15 a.m. Sunday about a car on fire a quarter-mile west of Livingston Road, sheriff's spokesman Rod Reder said.
When county firefighters finished dousing the flames at the entrance to an orange grove, they popped the trunk and found the body.
The body was burned beyond recognition, making it impossible to immediately determine how the man died.
