Focus on volunteers

Family Friends, sponsored by Gulf Coast Community Care of Pinellas County, is looking for adults to spend time with children in medical foster homes. The children, in need of companionship, are ill and confined indoors. For information, call Melonese Wilson at 538-7460, ext. 3020.

Pinellas County Department of Animal Services has these volunteer opportunities available: kennel assistant, clerical assistant, receptionist, customer service assistant and hospital assistant. For information, call Gary Miller at 582-2648.

Pinellas Habitat for Humanity is in need of volunteers for its salvage team project. The project involves removing usable materials from private homes to be sold in the organization's thrift store. For information, call Cheryl Lewis at 894-1522.
