Say itBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times, published November 29, 2001 Fifth graders at Homosassa Elementary School were asked: "What do you think about the idea of building condominiums in Homosassa?" NICHOLAS MILLS, 10 "I believe that they shouldn't put it in. Florida has nature and retired people. I don't believe that they should also, because I love nature. I would hurt me if they put in these three story buildings, because of nature and the retirees. CAITLIN CAMP, 10 "I think they shouldn't because we have a lot of wildlife here, like manatees and dolphins, and I wouldn't want to see them cut down all those trees. There could be wildlife in there. I think they should build it somewhere else." HERBIE MACK, 10 "I don't think they should and I think they should, both, because it would give people jobs and the reason they shouldn't, they would hurt the environment." ANISSA HOWARD, 10 "I do not think they should because they could hurt us, because if somebody's in the water when they're cutting down the trees, it could hurt them and it could hurt the beautiful birds and our land. It could ruin our landscape. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • St. Petersburg Times
