TAMPA -- South Florida, get ready for prime time, baby!

The Dec. 8 game at the Sun Dome between USF and No. 6-ranked Florida on ESPN2 will feature the network's No. 1 announcing team, Brad Nessler and Dick Vitale, a spokesperson for ESPN confirmed Wednesday.

The perpetually enthusiastic and verbose Vitale will bring his popular act just up the road from his home in Sarasota. Vitale frequently has touted the Gators and their junior point guard, Justin Hamilton, who is from Sarasota. He will have the opportunity to sing the praises of another Sarasota native, USF senior forward Altron Jackson, who averages 20 points and had made 13 of 24 3-point attempts, 54.2 percent, heading into Wednesday's victory against Prairie View.

"He brings a lot of enthusiasm and he'll bring a lot of excitement to that game," Jackson said. "He hasn't done one of our games since I've been here, so I'm just happy he's coming."

USF (5-0) could be 7-0 when it plays the Gators. The Bulls host California on Saturday and play at Northern Illinois on Tuesday.

Florida (3-1), whose loss is to Arizona, hosts Tulane on Sunday and Michigan State on Wednesday.

The USF-UF game is at 2 p.m., and the USF-UF women's game is the second half of the doubleheader. The games were moved up in part to accommodate Florida, which could be playing the SEC Championship Game in football that night.

Jim Louk, USF's director of ticket sales, said a few hundred tickets remain. Louk said the those tickets, which cannot be purchased on a single-game basis by the general public, will be made available to faculty and staff, and he expects a sellout.

JUNGLE KARMA: South Florida coach Seth Greenberg, a frequent guest on Jim Rome's radio show on WDAE-AM 620, will be on at 1:15 p.m. today.
