Pinellas fire under investigationBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times, published November 30, 2001 INDIAN ROCKS BEACH -- Someone set fire Wednesday evening to a vacant house at 110 Beach Haven Drive, which was being used to store insulation. The fire quickly consumed the building, doing as much as $50,000 in damage, said Sgt. Greg Tita, spokesman for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Tita said neighbors have complained of vagrants and juveniles frequenting the area of the building, which was owned by Robert Lyons. Before the fire started, someone got into the building, either by forcing their way in or finding an unlocked door, Tita said. Anyone with information about the fire can call the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office arson squad at (727) 582-6200. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
