ST. PETERSBURG -- An All Children's Hospital nurse arrested last week on charges of engaging in lewd and lascivious behavior with boys has been fired.

Richard M. Pirrie, 33, faces seven counts of lewd and lascivious behavior.

Authorities also said he showed sexually explicit movies to a victim. He worked at the hospital since 1991.

"Basically, his continued employment isn't keeping with the mission of the hospital," Joel Momberg, spokesman for All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, said Monday.

Pirrie, of Indian Rocks Beach, remains in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
